Generation 2000 against total chaos (part 45)

- Posição 2004: your notes. Next?
- Carla Zaccagnini: Museu das Vistas, which means Views Museum. That's a tough one. She sent in her project, that required a desk, a couple of chairs, and a police officer that does spoken portraits. I think the name of it is spoken portraits, when you drescribe a face, and they do this drawing, and then show it to you, and make adjustments, and keep doing it until you say it looks like the face you remember. What she wanted was for the police officer to do drawings of the landscapes around the mansion where the art show was happening, as described by people attending the show. That's a very good idea for a performance. Trouble is, we never heard of her again, so it did not happen. We tried to contact her, but couldn't get an answer. It was very confusing at the time, but today I believe that her work was, in fact, this vanishing act. You know: sometimes people go and do spoken portraits of missing people. And there were we, facing the fact of a missing artist!
- But what if it was just a case of she dropping the idea of being in the show and forgetting to tell you people, and then catching a plane to Paris? What if it was just a communication failure?
- Too late, man! If that's the case, she was part of the show, anyway, in a translucid action with us!
- What is a translucid action?
- That's an action that even the artists involved in might not notice is art until some time later. I don't know about her, but I have just found out about it! Either the vanishing act was her work of art, or she was in this translucid action with us! Wathever was the case, I'm still having fun almost three years down the road! Good show!

We should have 3000 different blogs, with every person who was there telling his or her version of what happened! Then we would be a little closer to the real thing!
